Privacy Policy for Trakkit

This Privacy Policy explains how Trakkit ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. Trakkit is operated by Mesut Erce Ekmekçi, a sole proprietor ("the Operator").
By using Trakkit, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Summary
Trakkit is a speed and explosiveness training app for athletes. We have built Trakkit to be local-first: the large majority of your data — your training plan, your logged results, your personal records, and your progress — is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
A limited set of data is shared with third-party services only to provide specific features you choose to use (such as AI video analysis and subscription management), and to process app analytics. This Policy describes exactly what is shared, with whom, and why.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your health or fitness data for advertising.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information stored only on your device (not sent to us)
When you use Trakkit, you provide and generate information that is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage, including:
- Your name or chosen display name (optional).
- Onboarding answers (your sport, position, training experience, goals, areas you want to improve, available equipment, and any injury flags you choose to enter).
- Your performance numbers and personal records (for example, sprint times, jump heights, or lifts you log).
- Your training plan, completed sessions, and progress over time.
- App preferences and settings.
This information stays on your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not backed up to our servers. If you delete the App or use the in-app "Delete Account" function, this data is removed from your device.
2.2 Video you submit to the AI Form Lab feature
Trakkit includes an optional feature ("Form Lab") that analyzes a short video of your athletic movement to provide technique feedback. If — and only if — you choose to use this feature:
- The App extracts a small number of still image frames from the video clip you record or select.
- Those frames are sent, through our processing server, to a third-party artificial-intelligence provider for analysis (see Section 4).
- The AI provider returns a technique assessment, which is shown to you and stored on your device.
We do not retain your video or the extracted frames on our servers beyond what is necessary to process the request, and we instruct our AI provider not to retain or use this content to train their models, to the extent their service permits. Before your first use of Form Lab, the App shows a consent screen naming the AI providers involved and asks for your explicit permission. You can decline, and the feature will not send anything.
2.3 Subscription and purchase information
If you purchase a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use a third-party service (RevenueCat) to manage and verify subscriptions. This involves processing a non-identifying app user identifier and your subscription/purchase status. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled solely by Apple.
2.4 Health data (Apple Health)
Trakkit can, with your permission, read your body weight from Apple Health to help track your training. This is read-only: Trakkit does not write data to Apple Health. Health data accessed this way is used only within the App, is stored only on your device, is never transmitted to our servers, is never stored in iCloud by us, and is never used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke Health access at any time in your device's Settings.
2.5 Analytics
We use a privacy-focused analytics service (TelemetryDeck) to understand how the App is used (for example, which features are opened and whether the App is performing well), so we can improve it. This analytics data is designed to be aggregate and non-identifying.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide the App's core features — generate and run your training plan, track your progress, and show your personal records.
- Provide the optional Form Lab AI analysis when you choose to use it.
- Manage and verify your subscription.
- Understand and improve how the App performs and which features are useful.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the App.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information for any purpose other than those described in this Policy.
4. Third-Party Services
Trakkit shares limited data with the following third parties, only for the purposes described:
- Apple — App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, and (with your permission) Apple Health. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and verification (processes a non-identifying app user identifier and subscription status). Governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- fal.ai and Google (Gemini) — when you use Form Lab, image frames from your clip are processed by fal.ai, which routes the request to Google's Gemini AI model, to generate technique feedback. Governed by the respective providers' privacy terms.
- TelemetryDeck — privacy-focused, aggregate app analytics. Governed by TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy.
We do not share your information with any other third parties, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
5. Children's Privacy
Trakkit is designed for athletes, and we recognize that some users may be minors. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with applicable laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
- During setup, the App asks for your age in a neutral manner.
- Users under 13 are blocked from using the AI Form Lab feature, so that no video, image, or likeness of a child under 13 is sent to our third-party AI provider.
- For users under 13, we do not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is stored locally on the device to provide the training features, and we do not transmit a child's personal information to third parties for the Form Lab feature.
- We do not knowingly use children's data for advertising or sell it.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information in a way that concerns you, please contact us at hello@instoma.com and we will address it promptly, including deleting such information where required.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because Trakkit is local-first, most of your data lives on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. You can delete it at any time:
- In-app: Use "Delete Account" in Settings to erase your local data. This also makes a best-effort request to revoke the Sign in with Apple token associated with the App.
- Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.
Data processed momentarily by third parties (such as a Form Lab request) is handled according to those providers' retention practices; we do not retain your video or frames on our servers beyond processing the request.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because most of your data is stored only on your device and under your control, you can exercise much of this directly within the App. For anything else, contact us at hello@instoma.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, including transmitting data to third-party services over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and keeping API credentials on our secure processing server rather than in the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. International Users
Trakkit is available internationally. If you use the App, certain limited data (such as a Form Lab request or subscription verification) may be processed by third-party providers located in other countries, including the United States. By using these features, you understand that such processing may occur.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
